During the MS Lunch Symposium on 9 Nov, Prof. Tomas Kalincik from the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Australia, gave a talk on ‘Real-world experience with immune reconstitution therapy (IRT)’, focusing on the outcome of patients who have received the newer agents such as Cladribine and Alemtuzumab.
In the MS Morning Symposium on 10 Nov 2019, we were honored to have Prof. Ludwig Kappos from the University of Basel, Switzerland, to enlighten us on ‘Making choices in the new era of MS treatment’, during which he reviewed the approach to select appropriate disease modifying agents among the many currently available to us. Prof. Cristina Granziera, also from the University of Basel, then shared her expertise on neuroimaging, and talked about ‘PML detection and MS disease monitoring’ with MRI as well as other advance imaging technologies.
We would like to thank all three of our overseas speakers, and hope that their valuable experience will have a positive impact on our local practice!
