Piano Recital, Press Conference and More!

In celebration of the 2018 World MS Day, the HKMSS has organized a series of activities and appeared all over the media in May and June!

First, we welcomed Ms Olga Bobrovnikova, a Russian concert pianist who is also an MS patient herself. Her campaign to raise MS awareness in Hong Kong began with a radio interview at RTHK4’s Morning Call, which was broadcasted on 30 May, the exact date of the 2018 World MS Day. You may listen to it again here! She then took part in a media interview with local patient Siu Ping, which you may read about here and see the local media coverage here! The highlight of her visit was a piano recital held at the Helena May, titled ‘A life story of MS and Music’. Read all about it here!

On 27 May, the HKMSS held a press conference, and we were delighted to have two local MS patients share their stories with us: Maggie, a hairstylist, and Jason, a latte artist. You can read about the details here, and see the extensive media coverage here! On 30 May, Dr. TH Tsoi of our council was featured in a newspaper interview by Apple Daily, and as an extension of the World MS Day campaign, Dr. Winnie Wong and Dr. Richard Li also appeared on RTHK1’s Healthpedia on 13 June.
