On 23 April 2021, the HKMSS held an MS webinar titled ‘Switching of disease modifying drugs for multiple sclerosis’, which was given by Prof. Bart Van Wijmeersch from the Hasselt University, Belgium, and was chaired by Dr. WT Wong of our council.
In his talk, Prof. Wijmeersch gave an overview of MS treatment strategies, and used several case examples to illustrate the approach to both newly diagnosed patients and patients who are already on treatment. For the latter group, he highlighted the points to note when switching between different agents.
